Oman Air Organizes Overseas Training For New Batch of Pilot Trainees
Oman Aviation Services (Oman Air) continues to play a vital role in the realization of bringing about young Oman is on par with the ever changing global aviation trends in the most practical way by fulfilling the Omanization Program companywide from the beginning of 1993 till date.

Captain Rashid Al Mawaly, Oman Air Divisional Manager Flight Operations stated that Omani pilots are among the best in the world and this is mainly because they are carefully selected as per the international standards and specifications that fulfill the Company’s requirements. They have all undergone an intensive and comprehensive training program with close monitoring, to ensure that they are in compliance with the various regulatory and mandatory rules and regulations set forth for SAFETY & AIRWORTHINESS of the airline and its clients.
Mr. Amar Nasser Divisional Manager Human Resources & Administration added that in addition to our current manpower and keeping in mind the latest company expansion strategies, 15 Ab-initio Pilot Trainees have been recruited and are scheduled to undergo an intensive 16 months Pilot Training Program with the ROYAL MELBOURNE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY in Victoria, Melbourne, Australia. The training venue was carefully selected through a strict criterion based decision mainly of the quality and standard of service that would meet most of the company’s requirements and expectations in accordance with the local awarding and regulatory body - the DGCAM of Oman”.
